According to feedback from dealers, the new Wrangler Unlimited is turning out to be one of the biggest hits in recent memory. Although the new Unlimited stirred up some controversy among Jeep loyalists when it debuted, it's turning out to be the buzz-generator they've needed.
For some customers, the waiting time has been 8-10 weeks. Interestingly, demand for the 2-door Wrangler has not been nearly as hot as the new 4-door.
Perhaps Jeep found an untapped market of family-oriented off-road enthusiasts looking for something with a little better passenger and cargo capacity than a "standard" Wrangler, but with little to no sacrifice in off-road capability.
