Those interested in the Chaos 2-Over front suspension kit no doubt will be interested in what Total Chaos Fabrication has brewed up for the rear suspension of your ’03-and newer-4Runner or ’07-and-newer FJ Cruiser.
We don’t have all the details just yet, but we do know that the lower links are made using .281 wall thickness 4130 chromoly tubing. The urethane end at the frame returns greater control than the stock rubber bushing, yet retains shock and vibration absorption. At the axle end, a rod end with high-misalignment spacers allows a wide range of articulation and wheel travel without binding.
Total Chaos has links to replace all of the factory items in the rear suspension. This means lower links, upper links, and the track bar.
Also shown is the Total Chaos weld-on knuckle gusset. Since Toyota saw fit to construct its knuckles from forged steel, it is possible to weld to the factory knuckles without fear of cracking them. The T.C. knuckle gusset strengthens this weak link and makes it as durable as the T.C. upper and lower control arms it attaches to.
