Organizing bulky items in your trail rig can be a colossal pain in the rear. A shovel is one of the bulkier trail tools commonly on board, and presents a couple of challenges when it comes to storage.

First, a shovel has sharp edges that can cause injury so it needs to be mounted securely out of the way. Next, shovels should be kept within easy reach for quick access when they’re needed. Finally, a shovel shares some resonating qualities with a tuning fork. A rattling shovel can make a lot of noise if it’s bouncing around. Most well-used trail rigs have a squeak or two, but too many squeaks make for a rig that’s just plain annoying to drive. A rattling shovel shouldn't be added to the list of noises inside your trail rig.

Fourtreks has billet aluminum shovel mounts in its product lineup, and the Fourtreks mounts solve all of the aforementioned problems and look great to boot.

Consisting of an aluminum clamp ring and a UV-resistant rubber clamp, the Fourtreks shovel mounts can be placed in multiple positions on roll bars or roof racks that use round tubing. The aluminum clamps size-specific and are available in many popular diameters. Stainless steel hardware is used to secure the aluminum clamp rings. The rubber clamps securely lock in place around the shovel handle and are not affected by hot or cold climates. The shovel mounts can also be used to hold an axe, another potentially dangerous trail tool that shouldn’t be floating around loose in the back of your rig.
