Miller's Performance Series line of Arc-Armor helmets are very nice additions to any welder's tool chest.  They feature three arc sensors, a quick-release front cover lens holder with a rubber spatter gasket and lens controls conveniently located at the bottom of the lens.

These helmets also include Miller's Auto-On and Grind Mode features. Auto-On eliminates accidental arc flash by automatically detecting the arc even if the helmet hasn't been used for an extended amount of time. Grind mode allows the helmet to be used as a protective shield by preventing the lens from darkening while grinding.

Other important features include:

  • Shades #8-13 and light state #3
  • Excellent low amperage TIG (5 amps)
  • $25 accessory package
  • Lightweight: 17 oz.
Miller auto-darkening helmets are covered by a two-year warranty.

We like these helmets.  We do have to wonder about why a Realtree camo helmet would be needed.  Need to do some welding while in the blind?  Don't want the deer to see you while you take a break to weld up your axle on that hunting trip?  Here's your helmet.  This camo helmet might even be dangerous - what if you're welding something and a fellow hunter doesn't see your camouflaged head and runs over it with his truck?

O.K.  We've had our fun.  The Miller Performance Series Arc-Armor helmets make welding easier and safer.  Miller's website is www.millerwelds.com.
