AMSOIL Diesel Recovery Emergency Fuel Treatment

How to Restore Gelled Fuels

Amsoil is great stuff, and so it's not hard to confidently post a new Amsoil product. This is a fuel treatment that restores gelled diesel to a usable state. Why post something about diesel? Most of us don't drive diesel rigs on the trail, but lots of us use a diesel truck to tow our stuff around. When it comes to tow rigs, reliability is numero uno.

A side note is that Amsiol products are a little trickier to come by compared to more common brands because Amsoil relies on a network of independent dealers to distribute its products--you won't find Amsoil on the shelf at the local parts store. Even though you have to go out of your way to get Amsoil, it's worth it. Amsoil's website has a great dealter locator, and I found three Amsoil dealers close to where I live.

That's my input. Here's Amsoil's:

The Problem: Diesel Fuel Gelled At Low Temperatures.
“No Flow” when cooled below pour point.
How does diesel recovery work?
DRC breaks the molecular bonds that form fuel wax crystals, allowing the fuel to flow through the fuel filter media and other fuel system components.
(when cold, wax forms platelets that clog filters.  DRC modifies the wax crystal formation allowing the fuel to flow.)

Diesel Recovery (DRC):
Quickly dissolves gelled fuel
Thaws frozen fuel filters
Performs well in ultra low sulfur, off-road, and bio-diesel fuels
Contains no alcohol
Is non-corrosive

Diesel Recovery Benefits:
Reduces down time, saves money
Increased safety in isolated areas
Reduces the need to use a new fuel filter if gelled.  Saves money, and convenience.
Diesel fuel has variable quality.  DRC will work effectively in all commercially available diesel fuels.
Alcohols may degrade fuel systems
Corrosion can damage fuel system components and cause premature clogging of fuel filters.
