One Way to Carry Water

The Hydra Water System

Phil's blog about hot-weather 'wheeling led me to think about just how to carry water in sufficient quantities, and how to keep said quantities convenient for drinking. Water does no good in its container. You've gotta get it into your belly.

The Hydra water system from Rompalicious 4x4 has been in print in our 4X Products department already, but it bears repeating here on the Web.

The Hydra is a water pouch system that can be attached to the seat or roll bar of most vehicles. The pouch is secured remotely, and a bite-valve-equipped tube delivers the H2O where you sit.

The Hydra carries 2.5 gallons of water in an anti-microbial reservoir. The outer shell is made of super-tough ballistic nylon to resist abrasions and other external abuse. The filler opening is big enough to put ice cubes in, and the reservoir can easily be removed for cleaning.
