Salvage Special II

Topping the Unlimited

I've talked about my Salvage Special II, an '06 TJ Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) with a salvage title. This project is moving lowly along. With the help of our friends at Burnsville Off-Road, our LJ now sports a very nice LJ Xtended top from GR8TOPS.

The GR8TOPS top and bulkhead installed easily with no issues at all. As we have an OR Fab Sport Cage inside the cab, we elected to remove the rear stringers from the sport bar. This made the installation simpler as we didn't have to cut holes in the top for the bars.

Dan McKeag, owner of Burnsville, reported that the GR8TOPS top is very high quality. His crew will be spraying black bedliner in the bed and on the bulkhead soon.

GR8TOPS Xtended top cab provides a bit more room so seats can be moved back further and small items can be stored behind the seat. It also makes my LJ a pickup, able to carry bulky or smelly (gas) items in the back out of the cab.

The Salvage Special II is shaping up nicely.
