More Confirmation that the California Air Resources Board is Run By Idiots

Do you think that government is too big right now? Get a load of this load of garbage: the California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B.) is considering enacting legislation that would make it illegal and punishable to operate a vehicle with underinflated tires. Yes, really.

While it is true that underinflated tires make the engine work harder and use more fuel, this is a case where the legislators are going too far.

Yeah, let's get law enforcement pulled away from fighting violence and REAL crime and send them after you and your squishy tires.

Or...let's hire a new group of C.A.R.B. enforcers and send them out on the streets. Who gets to pay for that? YOU and your tax dollars.

One thing's for sure, the members of the C.A.R.B. must secretly goose-step on their way to meetings. No doubt they've all got swastika arm bands stashed in their pockets.

Heil C.A.R.B.!

1. No joke Kevin. We folks outside of California have been watching these socialist, big government, control freaks take over your beautiful state for some time now.

Worse yet, this liberal disease is spreading fast throughout the nation, with California's nutcase elite leading the way.

And if you haven't figured it out already, Arnold is no conservative. He is a RINO (Republican In Name Only) and he supports most of the fruitcake liberal agenda.

Sorry for the rant, but those of us in fly-over country cringe when California's Gestapo takes another step toward eliminating personal freedoms.

So, get out the swords (the gov't is taking away your guns) and fight the good fight...and thanks for all you do with your magazine and website.

Our legislators don't work for us anymore. Instead, they work for themselves.

Despite the problems, I still enjoy living here. It's home to me.

I spent some time in ultra-Liberal Holland and have seen how socialism takes away freedom one step at a time. It also ramps up taxes.

We've got scumbag Republicans, too. Recently, Congressman Mike Duvall got caught boasting about his extra-marital affair with a lobbyist. He left office in disgrace, as he should have. The special election needed to replace him cost the taxpayers $1 million.

I guess that's part of the reason I like getting out in the dirt: it's an escape from urban and human madness.

Sure it's sound like CARB could use the tax-money more efficient, but we should all do our best to minimize our carbon footprint – why wouldn't you! Even airing your tires up after that mudtrip.

No one here at 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility likes dirty air.

No one here at 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility wants to waste fuel and have a higher fuel bill.

What we object to is the way our government is finding its way into every aspect of our lives.

As government edges its way further into our lives, it edges its way further into our wallets.

We all work hard for our money around here, and you probably do, too.

When we have legislators that take more and more of our money and enact laws that restrict our freedoms further and further, it's time to object. It's time to object with our words and with our votes.

Airing up tires when returning to the pavement is the smart thing to do, and the safe thing to do. Airing up (or checking air pressure in general) should be something people do on their own, and not because they have to live in fear of a hefty fine.
