It was magazine photo shoot time again. Remember Chad Hughes? He's the one who installed rear fiberglass leaf packs in his TJ. This time, Chad purchased a Toyota truck project and worked his magic on it, ending up with a very nice 'wheeler.
The Toyota is an '88 Xtra Cab that has had a 2003 3.4 Toyota V6, 5-speed manual tranny and 2003 dash installed. It has a Dodge truck Dana 60 frontend and a GM 14-bolt rearend with ARB Air Lockers front and rear. Marlin from Marlin Crawler supplied the dual T-cases that make the truck work at any speed. An All-Pro flatbed kit and many other All Pro parts combine to make this truck great.
Adding to the fun of this photo shoot was the trail we went on. Called "The Maze", it's only a few miles south of my house. We did the obstacles, went around and did them again, turned around and did them backwards - in other words, had a great time.
Oh, wait. This is work. Are we supposed to have a great time?
