As the resident web geek for 4WD&SU, I'm always looking at the future of media, and where it's going. Often, much to the dread and chagrin of the editors. However, they've warmed to the idea of blogging over the past few years (thanks, Phil, Kevin & Christian!). However, there's one area where 4WD is inexplicably being left out.
4WD&SU offers a print subscription, but no digital one. I know there are a few extra costs involved with producing a digital edition, but at the same time, there's a huge savings in that there's no physical printing and distribution to worry about. Many, if not all of 4WD's stablemates in the truck group that offer a print subscription also offer a digital subscription through Zinio, our current partner for digital subscriptions. I've already subscribed to several of our company's titles through Zinio, in support of what I believe will become an exciting and compelling new medium.

Nobody has been able to give me a straight answer as to why a digital subscription is not available for 4WD. Admittedly, it's one of our smaller publications in terms of overall circulation, but also one of our oldest, and with a very committed and passionate following.
I hope a few of the key decision-makers within our company are reading this, and consider offering a digital subscription to 4WD&SU. I know I'll be one of the first to subscribe.
