Chad Hughes and I spent part of an afternoon installing Bushwacker YJ Flat Panel Flares on a 1989 YJ Wrangler.
The Bushwacker's quality is evident, right down to the LED markers and stainless hardware included with the flares. All holes line up and pieces fit together. The plastic flares are lightweight and don't sag, unlike the brand "X" flares we've used on most of our past projects. The flares mount using base pieces, then the outer flares mount to those bases. It's a very strong mounting system.
Do you think the Bushwackers will shatter if bent as their competitors claim? They don't. I tested one of the fenders by twisting it 180 degrees. It bent, then popped right back into shape.
I'll be writing more in 4Wheel Drive Magazine and will post better photos once the Mickey Thompson MTZ tires and Classic Lock wheels are installed on the Wrangler.
