Early Bronco Project Finally Rolling

It's been a few months in the making but I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this 1972 Bronco project. The rig was nearly bone stock with the exception of the fender cut outs and flares. Since taking it to Brothers 4x4 in Montclair, California, however, it's taken on a whole new vibe.

I won't divulge all of the details since you'll be reading about the transformation in the magazine in an upcoming issue, but here's the quick skinny on most of what was done:

Yukon gears and axle shafts

Yukon Grizzly and Zip lockers

Tom's Bronco Parts suspension with extended and curved radius arms (very cool) and dual shock mounts

35-inch Pitbull Radial Rockers (Brothers 4x4 sold a few sets of these just from customers seeing them on the Bronco)

J.E. Reel 1310 Driveshafts front and rear

Viair onboard air system

Brothers 4x4 completely went through the front and rear axles making them look like brand new assemblies, and did an an amazing job of cleaning and touching up the frame with paint.

I still need to fix a leaking carburetor and the three-on-the-tree 3-speed shifter is missing a clip or two on the linkage but I should have this beast in the dirt for some fun testing in the next few weeks I hope. Look for the article and all of the project details in an upcoming issue of 4Wheel Drive Magazine.
