There were so many petroglyphs at site two that I thought it deserved some more bandwidth.
Although many of the scratchings are at ground level, this site holds many images further up.
The BLM-installed fence here is a good thing. Reportedly, some people have attempted to load petroglyphs into their vehicles and make off with them! Who does that kind of stuff?
I'd also venture to guess that the tribes who left their marks on these rocks were established enough that they had free time to create these drawings. Is this merely graffiti, or is there a deeper meaning?
