Motech of Las Vegas, Nevada, brought their GM 6.2 liter V8-equipped JK Unlimited to Southwestern Utah last week.
The Wrangler is flawless. With the 6.2 liter LS V8 and 6-speed 6L80 automatic transmission, it has tons of power and torque. The Motech conversion interfaces with the JK's CANbus and there are NO warning or MIL lights illuminating on the dash. The cruise control works, as does the 6L80's Tap Shift.
Motech performs either 6.2 or 5.3 LS V8 swaps into Wranglers. I'll be doing a comprehensive feature shoot on Motech and their Wrangler conversions next week, so watch for more here and in the pages of 4Wheel Drive Magazine.
