Jeep drivers have long demanded more power from their tried and true 4WD vehicles to overcome obstacles ranging from steep mountain interstates to large rocks on off-road trails. Combine this demand with ever-rising fuel costs, and the result is just the problem for a diesel engine to solve. But is it possible in a Jeep?

It is now. Bruiser Conversions is setting a new standard in power for Jeep JKs. With the Cummins 4BT Turbo Diesel Power Plant, Jeep enthusiasts can now boast improved performance in torque, fuel economy and fuel capability, and of course, the cool factor of a diesel engine. In fact, the 4BT engine is capable of producing 400 ftlbs of torque at 1700 rpms. "After several years of intense research with different applications, the reliability, torque and power benefits just made this a no-brainer," says Jeff Garland, founder of Bruiser and owner of Jeff's Jeep Yard in Clearwater, FL.

With multiple fuel capabilities, the Bruiser 4BT engine can run on several different types of fuel, including waste vegetable oil and bio-diesel. Don Altman, co-owner of Trail Jeeps in Boulder, CO, installs HEMI engines in Jeeps and sought out Garland to provide another source of power to his Jeep clients. "The HEMIs don't hit full power until the rpm gauge shows 4000 rpm. By that time, catching traction might rip the axles off the jeep in an off-road situation. The ability of the diesel pilot to control the power is like nothing I've ever felt off-road," says Altman.

The Bruiser Turbo Diesel conversion is fully warranted behind the expertise of three installation facilities located in Pennsylvania, Colorado and Florida. According to Kenny Hauk, owner of River Raider Off-Road and Hauk Designs in Chambersburg, PA, "This conversion breathes new life into the JK and TJ Wrangler platforms."

Bruiser Conversions has completed several successful conversions this year, and the company plans to unveil its landmark Jeep JK at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas, November 01, 2011.

Bruiser Conversions LLC is based in Florida. Exclusive installation facilities include Jeff's Jeep Yard in Clearwater, FL, River Raider Off-Road in Chambersburg, PA, and Trail Jeeps in Boulder, CO.
