Rancho® has expanded its RS7000MT™ monotube shock absorber line to include coverage of more than 130 popular truck and Jeep models. Available now at performance retailers nationwide, the Rancho RS7000MT shock absorbers provide a highly effective dissipation of heat, making the shocks extremely resistant to overheating during extreme use.
“We’ve seen such a positive response to this product line that we’re planning to continue adding new part numbers and coverage. We’re also developing some new coil-over monotube designs that we’ll launch in 2012,” said Joe Pase, general manager, Rancho. Rancho products are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN). The Rancho brand, known for leading off-road shock and suspension technologies, has been an industry pioneer for more than 50 years.
RS7000MT shock absorbers offer exceptional response to overheating during hauling or on rough roads and trails. The shocks help to deliver the fast, precise response required by many early- and late-model vehicles.
The shock design features a high-pressure gas charge separated from the internal oil to maximize damping efficiency and control on vehicles that utilize monotube technology. Each shock includes a 46mm bore and piston and 14mm chrome piston rod.
Including advanced valving precisely tuned to its corresponding application, the new monotubes are now available for the following vehicle makes and models:
• Chevrolet: Avalanche, Silverado 1500/1500HD, Silverado 2500, Silverado 3500, Suburban 1500, Tahoe
• Dodge: Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Ram 3500
• Ford: F-250
• Jeep: XJ, CJ, Grand Wagoneer, Jeepster (inc. Commando), M Series, Commanche, Gladiator, Pioneer, Scrambler, Wagoneer, Wrangler JK, Wrangler TJ, Wrangler YJ
• Toyota: Tundra
Rancho also finishes every RS7000MT shock by brushing and zinc plating then clear coating the shock body, providing extended life. Rancho also includes a black protective boot to protect the piston rod.
