The sun's about to set on the Champion Mine Camp blogs, so it seems fitting to end things by showing the sunset view from a deck in camp.
The sun had actually already set by this time, but the view was epic just the same.
Looking west down the canyon, you can see out over the Volcanic Tablelands north of Bishop and then further into the snow-capped Sierra Nevada.
We started our hike in the twilight, and got back to the parking area just after the sun had set.
Incidentally, you can see the parking area from the camp if you know where to look.
