You can probably tell I'm not a fan of signs, fences, and regulations, even though I tend to comply in the end.
It's always nice to see interpretive signs instead of regulatory postings.
Most of the Volcanic Tableland is BLM land. We were on our way to the first petroglyph area when we saw a sign kiosk and decided to stop and re-group.
There's fishing off of Fish Slough Road (image that...) and while there were things listed that were verboten it was still nice to see what was allowed, too.
This place might seem lightly populated by animals, but it seems you've just got to be patient and observant. Several types of lizards call this place home, as well as many species of raptors.
