We had a brand new take-off steering gearbox from a 2008 JK Wrangler. It had rusted while sitting around for four years. It needed a facelift before being installed on TrailRunner.

The box was cleaned, then painted with Seymour Paints' Cast Blast Professional Coating. Introduced to us by Currie Enterprises years ago, Cast Blast is perfect for restoring cast iron components like cylinder heads, engine blocks, third members, and steering gearboxes, which cuts down on time spent refinishing or replacing parts. The aerosol formula resists heat up to 250 degrees F, prevents flash rusting, and leaves behind a durable OEM luster.

Our steering gearbox is new on the inside and better-than-new on the outside.
