Black YJ is now Gen IV YJ

I've never liked to name vehicles. Naming vehicles is cute. My vehicles aren't cute. Unfortunately, magazine project vehicles have to be saddled with a moniker.

When the 1989 YJ project began, no name came to mind. It was black, so "Black YJ" became its name. Original, huh?

Black YJ was a lame name, even for me. Plus, the Jeep may not stay black.

What to do?

A GM Gen IV aluminum block 5.3 V8 will soon be residing in the engine bay. "Gen IV YJ" describes this Wrangler better than Black YJ ever could, so Gen IV YJ it is.

Cute.
