Not a skidplate, the Nemesis kit moves the canister from its factory position to above the rear axle.
Installation is easy and only requires the drilling of one hole and the modification of a few hoses.
The tough aluminum plate protects the canister in its new position, although if a rock is hitting it above the rear axle, the canister is probably the least of your worries.
